Born In The USA

This piece began in late march 2020, the beginning of the pandemic. As someone who has been dealing with mental illness for most of my life, isolation took its toll on me. In all honesty, this project was just to make myself feel better. I wanted to dance with my friends again. Over time people began protesting and making fools of themselves. I just started making it a video where I could make fun of those opposing social distancing while also reconnecting with people I couldn’t see.
